ORGANS OF THE COMMISSION
The BUPUSA Commission consists of the following organs:
(a) the Council of Ministers ;
(b) the Technical Committee; and
(c) the Secretariat.
Council of Ministers
The Council of Ministers is the highest body of the BUPUSA Commission which is supported by Technical Committee and Secretariat. The Council serves as a technical advisor to the Parties on matters related to monitoring, planning, development, and management of water resources of the basins.
The Council consists of delegations of each of the two member states.
Technical Committee
Technical committees are established by the councils and contain representatives from member states. The Technical Committees undertake the tasks delegated by the Council which include communications, financial, legal, technical, etc.
The Secretariat
The Secretariat role in program coordination and management includes the following functions:
- Coordinate BUPUSACOM activities and implement decisions;
- To serve as the repository of information related to Buzi, Pungwe and Save River basins;
- To act as the focal point of BUPUSACOM with all external parties.
- Perform BUPUSACOM administrative functions.
- Conduct communication and promotion for BUPUSACOM;
- Program and Project development and management;
- Resources Mobilisation.
